Why do men wait until crisis point before seeking help?

24th February 2016 by carolwalker

There is an excellent article in the Telegraph written by the CEO of Samaratans, Ruth Sutherland.  She highlights the difference between the way men and women deal with the problems which can send them to breaking point.

Samaritans research shows that men often wait until crisis point which results in high suicide rates for men.  They want to raise awareness of the importance of getting help at an early stage so your emotions don’t build up too much.  They have developed a new campaign to highlight the problem which will be appearing in all railway stations across the country.  Please raise awareness among your friends and family and help men to get the help they need before it reaches a crisis.
